This is fascinating and so funny. I love the misdirect in the beginning that made me think this was present-day until the mention of 1968. I think anyone who has been on any family road trip, ok or disastrous, can identify with the helplessness of the child in the backseat and the parents’ attempts to control unwieldy situations. Beautifully written and very thought-provoking!
