This was very funny. I enjoyed the story and I now find myself wanting to ask questions about your cats. 🤣 My cat is standing on me as I type this out. Were your cats always surly?

Yes; those are the ones who survive up here and they make great mousers. The sweet ones don't always make it. My black one got a whole lot more surly after I brought the most recent baby home. She was so upset she started urinating all over the baby's things!

Oh no!! Our cat is indoor only. We were a bit curious when we started having children since we got him several years before we were able to have children, but ours is very child friendly. I have photos of toddlers using him as a pillow. 🤣 He is 16 now and all of the kids are at his beck and call. They all leave their doors cracked in case he wants to sleep with them at night. If he calls out, they come running to see if he wants or needs anything.

I loved this, Sandy! Sir Galahad was never so brave as in this cavern! A beautiful story. But what was the name of his long-suffering horse?

Tis rumored that an as-of-yet undiscovered tale may indeed hold the beast's name... 😉
